Hinchinbrook Island

Hinchinbrook Island est la plus grande île parc naturel d'Australie, située entre Cardwell et Ingham on peut y faire une randonnée de 31 km appelée "Thorsborne trail". Cette randonnée est connue pour être la 7e randonnée la plus naturelle du monde!

On a fait la randonnée en 3 jours avec une équipe de choc: Cathy, Jodie, Laura, Markus et moi! On y était en juillet c'est à dire pendant la saison sèche ce qui nous a facilité la tâche lors des traversées de rivières qui ne sont apparemment pas si simple pendant la saison des pluies! nous n'avons eu aucune difficultés particulières à l'exception de quelques chutes dans la boue, rien de méchant ^^

Premier jour, Jeudi 25 juillet en fin d'après-midi, nous camperons à Nina bay après 2 heures de marche et 4 km.

inchinbrook Island is the biggest Australian's Island National park, located between Cardwell and Ingham you can do a 31km hiking call "Thorsborne trail". This hiking is famous to be the 7th most natural hiking in the world!

We did it in 3 days with the best team ever: Cathy, Jodie, Laura, Markus and myself! We did it in july during the dry season which is much easier when you have to cross the creek which is apparently pretty hard during the wet season! So for us no difficulties expect may be 1 or 2 fall into the mud ^^

First day, Thursday 25th of July at the end of the afternoon, we slept in nina bay after a 2 hours walk of 4km.

Deuxième jour, vendredi 26 juillet sera la plus longue marche, de Nina Bay jusqu'à Zoe Bay, une marche de 12,5 km qui nous prendra la journée. heureusement les bounty fait maison au petit dèj nous ont donné les forces nécessaires :)

Second day, friday the 26th of July was the longest walk, from Nina bay to Zoe Bay, 12,5 km walk which took us the whole day. Fortunately the home made bounty for breakfast gave us the stamina to do it :)

3e jour, samedi 27 juillet, de Zoe Bay à Mulligan's Fall, une marche de 7,5km qui nous prendra une bonne partie de la journée mais nous laissera le temps de nous baigner à Mulligan's fall en fin d'après-midi!

3rd day, saturday the 27th of July, from Zoe Bay to Mulligan's fall, a 7,5km walk which took us a good part of the day but let us the time to have a swim in Mulligan's fall at the end of the afternoon!

4e jour, dimanche 28 juillet, une marche rapide de 7,5 km en 3 heures afin de rejoindre George point pour prendre le bateau et rentrer à l'auberge! Il est 11 h du matin, on l'a fait, on a survécu :)

_______________________________________________________________________4th day, Sunday the 28th of July, a fast 7,5 km walk in 3 hours to make it to George point to take the boat and go back to the hostel! It's 11 o'clock at the morning, we did it, we are all still alive :)
